The iconic wooden chair designed by interior architect Antti Nurmesniemi (1927-2003) in 1979 combines elegance with timeless design. Nearly fifty years later, the Eliel chair is part of the Lepo collection and is available in both seat and front upholstered options.

Antti Nurmesniemi
Antti Nurmesniemi (1927–2003) was a Finnish Interior Architect and Industrial Designer who had a significant influence on the design culture of the 1950s and 1960s. His work combined rationality, functionality, and an appreciation for everyday usability. Nurmesniemi’s design practice encompassed, among other things, the restoration of historic sites, the interior design of large public spaces, and the creation of modern furniture.
During his career, he received numerous national and international awards. In addition, Nurmesniemi was a respected teacher and lecturer at universities and played an active role in the fields of art and design through his work on various committees and advisory bodies.
